Breast reconstruction, scar revision, skin tumours, hand, eyelid and septum surgery.
Plastic and reconstructive surgery repairs tissue affected by injury, disease, previous operations or malformations: so the hand can close again, the eye is no longer covered by the eyelid, the scar no longer pulls.
Many of these procedures are done under local anaesthesia, without a hospital stay: removal of moles and lipomas, surgery for nerve compression syndromes or an ingrown toenail. Larger procedures take place in the clinic’s operating room.

Plastic surgery is the medical specialty that restores the form and function of tissue. Aesthetic surgery is one branch of it, focused on improving the appearance of healthy areas. Both rest on the same surgical training.
Not always. Removing moles, cysts and lipomas, carpal tunnel or ingrown toenail surgery are usually done under local anaesthesia and you go home the same day. Larger procedures are discussed individually.
